RSS event in Cork, Ireland
March 31st, 2006
Blogging activity has been limited – apologies for radio silence – all with good reason.
Anyway, I attended an excellent event in Cork (or the Republic of Cork) last Monday – titled: Business Uses of RSS
Tom Raftery did an excellent job in pulling this event together.
For more details on the event check the ITCork blog.
My co-speakers, Rob Burke from Microsoft (fresh from his trip to Mix06), and John Dunne from CSO gave great presentations.
CSO in particular was very interesting – they are using nooked for publication of National statistics through RSS, and they are also working on a pan-European project on sharing statistics (via RSS) which is really impressive.
I was impressed by the size of audience, the awareness of RSS and the interest in utilizing RSS at a commercial level.
